He is SO brave for opening up about this!!
The world knows him as Chandler Bing from "FRIENDS" and during the run of the smash hit show, it was well documented how Matthew was in and out of rehab for problems:
His addiction to drugs and alcohol.
During the shows run, Perry battled an addiction to alcohol, but after a 1997 skiing accident, it took a darker turn when he became addicted to Vicodin.
Matthew has never opened up about his demons until now, speaking with People magazine.
It was following the ski accident, when his doctor prescribed him Vicodin for the pain:
"'Here, take this.' I did, and I felt better than I ever felt in my entire life," Perry says. "I had a big problem with pills and alcohol, and I couldn't stop."
He confesses now to being in a very good place.
I'm so happy Matthew is doing so well!!
